Sonography

Sonography (ultrasound) is applied in many areas of diagnostics. It is an examination method that uses high frequency sound waves instead of X-ray radiation for imaging purposes. These sound waves are absolutely harmless. In this respect, this procedure is a very gentle examination method that can be used in children and pregnant women without any hesitation.

The produced recordings can be immediately interpreted on the computer screen and then printed. In order to call them up at any time, they are saved in a digital archive.

• Abdominal sonography (abdominal cavity), thoracic sonography (thorax), sonography of the soft tissues of the neck and thyroid sonography
• Mammasonography (breast ultrasound)
• Colour-coded duplex sonography of the carotid arteries, abdominal and pelvic arteries(colour flow imaging of the veins and arteries for the diagnosis of circulatory disorders)
• Musculoskeletal examination of the soft tissues and joints
• Examination of infant hips (for clarification of eventual malformation of the hip joint)
