Computed tomography
Computed tomography is computer-assisted body section radiography. The computer converts the attenuation values that the device has measured into a high resolution image (computerised tomograms), which allows to draw a conclusion about the changes in the area of the lungs, abdomen, spine and skeleton. CT is also used for the detection of tumours in all body regions and for diagnostics of brain diseases. The examination is performed on multi-line detectors, producing sharp two- and three-dimensional images of various body sections within a very short time.
Our range of computed tomography services:
- Examinations of the head and neck region
- Examinations of the abdomen, lungs/thorax and soft tissues
- Examinations of the skeletal system (spinal column, bones, soft tissues)
- Osteodensitometry (bone density measurement), if osteoporosis is suspected
- Dental CT (to examine the structure of the jaw-bone before the planned tooth implantation as well as of the position and condition of the tooth roots)
